Keep Records and Save Messages
- When a debt collector is harassing you, write
down everytime you receive a call from them.
- When you get a voice mail from a debt
collector, save it. Even though it might not sound bad, it
could violate the law.
Send A Cease & Desist Letter
- Write a letter to the debt collector.
Ask them to CEASE & DESIST all communications with you.
- Be sure you keep a copy of your letter.
- Be sure you send your letter by Certified Mail, return
receipt requested.
- If they keep calling you after receiving your
letter, Call Us!
